MECS Inc and Blasch precision ceramics sign distributor and supply agreement

MECS Inc, a wholly owned subsidiary of DuPont, has entered into an agreement with Blasch Precision Ceramics of Albany, N.Y., appointing MECS as the exclusive distributor of Blasch engineered ceramic boiler ferrules and HexWall® checkerwalls for use in sulfuric acid plants and vessels worldwide.

“This agreement enables us to bring more comprehensive and innovative process solutions to the sulfuric acid marketplace,” said Frank Battino, global business leader, Clean Technologies, DuPont Sustainable Solutions. “Our customers will benefit from the shared expertise of MECS and Blasch in one of the most challenging process environments.”

Blasch manufactures equipment and components for sulfuric acid furnaces, waste heat boilers, gas to gas heat exchangers, and other process vessels employed in sulfuric acid plant processes.
