JGC receive a contract for lubricating oil blending facility in Indonesia

JGC Corporation announced today that its subsidiary JGC Indonesia received a contract from the Indonesian subsidiary of Royal Dutch Shell for construction of a lubricating oil blending facility, also located in Indonesia. JGC Indonesia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of JGC Corporation.

The lump-sum turnkey contract calls for the engineering, procurement, and construction work associated with a lubricating oil blending facility with a yearly production capacity of 120 Kilotonnes. The facility will be located in Bekasi on the island of Java. This lubricating oil blending facility will be the largest in the Republic of Indonesia built by an  international Company.

JGC Indonesia has experience performing support work on numerous local projects received by JGC Corporation, and has recently begun to take on its own EPC projects as a standalone agent.

In 2011, JGC Group put into action its new 5-year medium term management plan, entitled "New Horizon 2015." One important pillar of the plan is the strengthening and expansion of domestic and overseas subsidiaries, and the creation of strategic networks among subsidiaries to improve EPC project execution ability. In emerging countries, where economic development is progressing rapidly, facilities investment for improved industrial infrastructure continues to increase.

Drawing on its carefully cultivated technology and decades of management experience, JGC combines the power of its overseas subsidiaries in order to address the specific needs of various regions around the globe. In this way, we will continue to offer multi-faceted support for the engineering investments of our clients, especially Japanese companies making investments overseas.
