Ronald Buras promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager
Merichem Company, a global partner serving the oil and gas industries with focused technology, chemical, and service solutions, announced today that Mr. Ronald J. Buras has been promoted to Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Merichem Process Technologies business unit reporting to Ms. Kendra Lee, Chairman and CEO of Merichem Company. In this new role, Mr. Buras will lead a recently reorganized technologies business that includes the company’s FIBER FILM®, MERICON®, LO CAT®, and customized catalysts sales and licensing activities.
Prior to joining Merichem in 2011, Ronald was employed by UOP LLC, a Honeywell Company, where he served as Sales Director for UOP’s process plants, process equipment, and gas processing product lines. He also held sales and management positions at Baker Hughes and Betz Process Chemicals. “Ronnie’s strong leadership and global business experience make him uniquely suited to unite the newly formed Process Technologies business unit in Houston, Texas” said Ms. Lee. “Combining the liquid treating and gas treating technology businesses on the site where we construct customer modules enables Merichem to maximize engineering efficiencies and control costs for our customers.” Mr. Buras holds a Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Louisiana – Lafayette, and a MBA from the University of New Orleans.
