Linde Engineering to highlight technologies for natural gas power generation

Linde Engineering experts will showcase LNG solutions at the Power-Gen Natural Gas Conference and Exhibition, to be held August 23-25 in Columbus.

Visitors to Booth #714 will have an opportunity to learn about the benefits of the Star™ family of small to mid-scale LNG plants, standardized and modularized to minimize cost and delivery time.  Linde will also discuss the need for pre-liquefaction ethane removal and Linde solutions for this need.  Engineers will share Linde’s approach to standardization of natural gas liquefiers (LNG) and natural gas liquids (NGL) recovery plants and how to optimize current assets.

“For LNG producers and users, Linde’s StarLNG™ technology is a low cost, energy efficient method for natural gas liquefaction,” said Tina Edvardsson, Director of Product Management.  “With the increase of ethane in pipeline shale gas, StarLNG™ has the additional advantage of cryogenic ethane removal, minimizing production losSES and meeting users’ specifications for LNG and natural gas quality”.

Ron Key, Vice President of Natural Gas and Refining, added “for peak shaving facilities, Linde Engineering has ‘drop in’ liquefaction, ethane removal and submerged combustion vaporization solutions for upgrades and expansions that can be installed during the off-season.  These cost effective solutions FOC us on safety and reliability while maximizing the return on investment.”

Power-Gen Natural Gas targets gas-fired generation related to the development of natural gas reserves in the Marcellus and Utica shales of the Appalachian Basin.
