Thomas Meek joins Coking.com

Coking.com is known for their commitment to safety.  It’s in their tag line “More Production – Less Risk!”. Thomas Meek joins the team and fits right in.

Tom started his career at Shell Oil Refineries where he worked as a process engineer and superintendent in Delayed Coking, and Crude Distilling.  In 2003, he moved to Shell Global Solutions the research and technology where he became a projects and technology advisor.

Having recently retired from Shell after 40 years, Tom still places coker safety at the top of his list. Tom joins Coking.com Inc. as Principal Consultant, to expand their services and continue their recent success providing consulting, training and conferences on delayed coker around the world.  When Tom was asked why he wants to work after retiring, he replied, “For the money of course,” then laughs and says, “The important reason is that there’s a lot of cokers out there that are not safe. I can help them. I can teach them how to run the unit safely and productively – that’s what I want to do.”

Paul Orlowski, GM of the Refining Community says, “Tom’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge makes him a key addition to the Coking.com Inc. team. Our approach to building networking communities and the increasing demand from our customers led us to look for an addition to our team who will fit in with our ethos of enhancing safety, maintaining reliability and increasing production. I’m confident that Tom will play a key role in providing and implementing high quality solutions for our clients.”
