$150M in orders for Maire Tecnimont

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that some of its main subsidiaries have been granted new awards worth approximately USD150 million.

Such awards relates to orders for licensing and engineering services in the oil & gas, petrochemicals and fertilizers core business, as well as renewable energy for a number of projects to be executed mainly in Europe and North and West Africa.

The award in the renewable energies witnesses Maire Tecnimont Group's vision in the sector through Met NewEn, the Group’s dedicated subsidiary, which has been granted an EPC contract worth over USD70 million by a major utility group in relation to the construction of a new wind farm in Mexico, due to be one of the largest in the country. Met NewEn will have responsibility over all the execution activities, civil and electrical, related to the farm and to its 80-km HV transmission line; supply and erection of the wind turbines will be under responsibility of the client.

Pierroberto Folgiero, Maire Tecnimont Chief Executive Officer, commented: “Renewable sources are changing the paradigm in the energy sector globally. Our Group has the strength and the competences to play a leading role in this new scenario. This award confirms our competitive approach in a promising market such as Latin America”.
