Air Liquide Engineering & Construction signs new contract with US LNG supplier
Air Liquide Engineering and Construction signs a new contract with Kinetrex Energy, the leading supplier of Liquefied Natural Gas in the Midwest US and an expert in clean fuel solutions.
Air Liquide Engineering & Construction has been selected by Kinetrex Energy to upgrade their North Plant LNG production unit in Indianapolis, IN, USA, by replacing the cold box with the SmartfinT M proprietary technology. This state-of-the-art, single mixed-refrigerant technology for small to medium scale plants will enable Kinetrex Energy to increase the plant capacity and leverage its existing assets for clean fuel solutions. The upgraded LNG plant, using Air Liquide technology, is expected to start operation by the end of 2018.
As a pioneer in LNG, Air Liquide has delivered more than 20 LNG liquefaction facilities worldwide over the past 50 years. Air Liquide successfully re-entered the LNG market in 2015 and has achieved commercial successes by leveraging its strong expertise in cryogenics and gas treatment.
Domenico D’Elia, Vice President and Chairman of Air Liquide Engineering & Construction said, “This cooperation with Kinetrex Energy marks an important milestone as we continue delivering dedicated technologies and facilities to the US LNG market. We are delighted to offer our customer such state-of-the-art technology and long-term, responsible solutions for the clean fuel sector.”
