How Russia will ensure the growth of global methanol production by 2030
New and existing methanol projects in Russia and the CIS have become one of the topics in focus at the 6th Conference on Gas Monetisation, which will be held on April 7-8 in Moscow. The conference is co-hosted with a two-day forum CIS Petrochemicals.
The global methanol industry is one of the fastest-growing - over the past decade, its growth has doubled the dynamics of global GDP (more than 6.5% annually). By 2025, demand for methanol will increase by more than one and a half times to 122 million tons per year. According to analytics company GlobalData, Iran, Russia, and the United States will boost global methanol production. Do other regions have a potential to compete on the global methanol supply market? Who is the new potential leader? These topics will be the focus at CIS Gas Monetisation business forum.
In addition to the methanol projects development discussion, such topics as prospects for the development of the gas market in Russia, innovative GTL and MTO solutions, Russia's infrastructure limitations in gas chemistry, and going deeper in the gas-to-chemical value chain will be discussed on the 6th CIS Gas Monetisation annual conference — one of the largest events in the region.
Eurochem, Uralchem, Shchekinoazot, Air Liquide, Lukoil, Sibur, Vygon Consulting, Rosneft, Gazprom Neft, Polymir and other major players in the gas chemistry market have already confirmed their participation in the conference 2020. According to Matias Stein, marketing director at Air Liquide, CIS Gas Monetisation stands out by the relevant international audience, high-quality presentations, and valuable discussions.
CIS Gas Monetisation is the only conference that considers all aspects of gas monetisation. The conference focuses on effective and cost-efficient methods of processing methane into ammonia, urea, methanol, and their derivatives. Conference audiences are manufacturers, engineering and technology companies, service and industry equipment providers.
