Saulsbury awarded EPC contract for Midland Basin gas processing facility

Saulsbury was recently awarded a turnkey EPC contract for the design and installation of a new cryogenic processing facility in the Midland Basin for one of the leading gas processors in West Texas. This facility, designed with a base-rated capacity of 200 MMSCFD, will be Saulsbury’s 59th cryogenic processing facility project since 2006, representing over 10.2 BCFD of processing capacity, and its 21st cryogenic processing facility in the West Texas region.

Saulsbury will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of the processing facility that will include amine treating, TEG and molecular sieve dehydration, cryogenic gas processing, residue gas compression, and all balance of plant equipment, utilities, electrical, instrumentation, and controls infrastructure. Work begins in February 2021 with an expected in-service date of March 2022.

“We are very excited to partner with our client on this important project in these ever-changing market conditions for the expansion of processing capacity in their Midland Basin infrastructure,” said Jimmy Matthews — Chief Operating Officer. “This project will continue to demonstrate our commitment to providing safe, quality, and speed-to-market solutions for our clients’ projects from scope development all the way through commissioning.”

For Saulsbury, this award supports the company’s longstanding history and reputation as an industry leader in the oil and gas industry for self-performing the full engineering and construction of cryogenic gas processing facilities. Saulsbury is well known in this industry for its successful project execution and world-class safety performance.
