Technip Energies selects Aras to support the digitalization of project execution practices
Aras, which provides the most powerful low-code platform with applications to design, build, and operate complex products, today announced that Technip Energies, a leading engineering and technology company for the energy transition, has selected its platform to advance its energy transition strategy, and will deploy Aras Enterprise SaaS to achieve full data-centric deployment of its project methods and tools.
Aligned with Technip Energies’ digital-by-design approach, which aims to achieve full project lifecycle traceability and optimization from concept through design, execution, and operations, this collaboration aims to increase efficiency and create new opportunities in the energy industry. It will power the scale-up of Technip Energies’ digital project execution practices into one single project platform, leading to:
* standardized data flows and seamless collaboration between disciplines;
* easy access to past project information to increase engineering re-use;
* reduction of cycle time;
* data integration for actionable reporting, and
* creation of a digital twin backbone
Marco Villa, Chief Operating Officer at Technip Energies, stated: “Digitalization is one of Technip Energies’ key enablers to drive operational competitiveness and support our energy transition targets. This partnership with Aras demonstrates our leading position in the industry’s digital transformation and our commitment to adopting a digital-by-design approach to develop and scale up new energy solutions. Our clients are very receptive about our data-centric approach, as it aligns with their vision of collaborative project execution.”
The selection of Aras follows a prototyping phase, during which Technip Energies developed its product requirement management methodology and built a standard library of requirements leading to a significant reduction of procurement cycle time and an increase in delivery reliability. Currently, Aras and Technip Energies are working to configure Technip Energies’ work processes into Aras Innovator to create a seamless digital thread throughout project execution.
Marc de Guiran, Chief Revenue Officer at Aras, added: “Aras’ mission is to empower customers with the flexibility to overcome tomorrow’s challenges, and this collaboration is essential to addressing the challenges facing the energy sector today. We are thrilled to bring our agility in executing complex global projects to our relationship with Technip Energies.”
Ultimately, Technip Energies’ use of the Aras Innovator platform will support faster delivery of new energy projects, decrease investment risk, and create the foundation for an enhanced digital services offering following plant handover.
