Gazprom Neft expands JET A-1 aviation fuel to Kyrgyzstan

Gazpromneft-Aero, the aviation fuel operator of Gazprom Neft, has expanded JET A-1 aviation fuel coverage to Manas International Airport in Kyrgyzstan further enhancing services for transcontinental cargo flights between Europe and Asia.

It is now providing the fuel to all flights by Russian and foreign airlines at the airport in Bishkek including Aeroflot, S7, Volga Dnepr, Turkish Airlines and FlyDubai and expects to sell more than 15,000 tons by the end of the year.

High-tech aviation fuel JET A-1 is in high demand among airlines and offering it at Manas International Airport boosts its competitive position when servicing flights.

Gazpromneft-Aero supported training for refuelling complex personnel in accordance with international rules as part of the launch of JET A-1 and will continue to develop refuelling infrastructure at the airport.

Its oil refinery in Omsk has been producing JET A-1 since April 2021 in accordance with international aviation standards, and it is fully compliant with Customs Union technical regulations.

Vladimir Yegorov, Gazpromneft-Aero’s CEO says ‘Shifting to JET A-1 provides a further competitive advantage for Manas International Airport when servicing transcontinental cargo flights between Europe and Asia that increasingly demand this type of jet fuel. We will continue to develop the refueling complex infrastructure at Manas International Airport and are ready to increase the volume of ‘into-the-wing’ JET A-1 refueling in Bishkek’.
