Axens acquires Industrial Waste Water specialist HydroThane Holding

Axens acquires HydroThane Holding BV, an engineering company specialized in biological technologies for the treatment of industrial waste water streams to protect the environment. The biogas produced through this technology can be further valorized after biochemical and chemical desulfurization process, part of HydroThane’s portfolio.

Based in 's-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands, HydroThane has more than 35 years of operational experience and a proven track record of above 170 references worldwide in a wide range of industries such as food and beverages (including breweries, distilleries, dairies), PTA production plant (Purified Terephthalic Acid), chemical, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper and, bioethanol production.

HydroThane provides design, basic engineering, proprietary equipment, commissioning & start-up assistance, nutrients and granular biomass for both grassroots and existing units (i.e. re-seeding). Throughout the entire plant life cycle, HydroThane provides its customers with services including laboratory and pilot tests to optimize operational conditions, troubleshooting and training. For existing units HydroThane can offer fast track refurbishment solutions minimizing investment cost, optimizing operation and extending unit lifetime.
