Downstream Engineering & Construction 2017

15 - 16 June 2017
New Orleans, LA
United States of America

Event Description

Shale oil and natural gas have brought back competitive economics to the US, resulting in a sustainable advantage for the new investment wave in downstream expansions. the US is an “emerging energy superpower.”
However, with budgets in the billions and project execution spanning years, refining, LNG and petrochemical capital projects - whether small, midsized or mega -- are under severe cost and cash flow constraints for U.S. energy companies. Projects are becoming larger, more complex and more difficult to execute. New projects are faced with core issues such as owner contractor interface integration, poor labour force productivity, oil & gas price volatility and loss of project experience as owner and contractor personnel retire or migrate to other industries. Controlling capital costs, managing risk and dramatically
improving project performance in the current market environment will take more than adopting new technology and best practices.
These issues underscore the need to identify solutions and strategies “as an industry”, no single person or company can do this alone, we need to come together to create an environment in which experience and learning can be shared across job roles and projects with a view to create an industry which is leaner, faster and more effective.
The Downstream Engineering & Construction show will be THAT forum, join us in New Orleans this June as we tackle these core challenges head on as an industry. We guarantee that you will leave the event with brand new strategies, methods, tools and connections which will revolutionize the way you work and deliver tangible solutions to the most critical challenges we face today.
