Valero Renewables Closes on Purchase of Jefferson Ethanol Plant

Valero Renewable Fuels Company, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Valero Energy Corporation, announced today that it has closed on its purchase of an ethanol plant from Renew Energy. The plant, located near Jefferson, Wis., has an annual production capacity of 110 million gallons. Valero paid $72 million for the plant.
 
The purchase gives Valero Renewables a total of 10 ethanol plants with a combined production capacity of 1.1 billion gallons per year, making it one of the nation’s largest ethanol producers.
