Roberto Felipe, new general manager of SENER in Mexico

Roberto Felipe has been appointed General Manager of the engineering and construction company SENER in Mexico, replacing Jose Manuel Belmonte. In his new role, his main task will be to take advantage of opportunities to participate in the development of the country's infrastructure, both in the Civil and Architecture and as in the Power, Oil and Gas fields, as well as in other opportunities in the Aerospace and Marine sectors.

The SENER Mexico office sums up to date more than 350 people, who have participated in relevant engineering and construction projects in the country, such as combined cycle plants for CFE Agua Prieta II, in Sonora, and Norte I, in Durango, as well as the Poza Rica station, in Tihuatlan; the La Cangrejera petrochemical plant and the diesel hydro-desulphurization plants from refineries in Tula and Salamanca, in Veracruz, for PEMEX; the rail beltway in Morelia, the General Hospital in Mexico City, the airport in Mexico City or several works on Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) on roads across the country for clients such as SCT, Banobras and CAPUFE. In addition, SENER Mexico professionals develop projects all around the world.

Industrial Engineer from the Universidad Politecnica de Madrid, Roberto Felipe has worked in the engineering and technology group SENER since 2003. During these years he has been Manager of major energy, oil and gas projects, among them the Aceca combined cycled central in Toledo (Spain), the vacuum unit of CEPSA in Algeciras (Spain) and, in 2011, the Gate terminal regasification plant, a successful 'turnkey' project that has been carried out in the Netherlands and which is, to date, one of the largest liquefied natural gas plants in Europe. This project has recently received the award for LNG Project of the Year of the European Gas Conference Awards.
