AFPM supports the domestic energy and jobs act

The American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers (AFPM) offered its support tothe Domestic Energy and Jobs Act in a letter to Speaker of the House John Boehner. In the letter AFPM President Charles T. Drevna said:

“The American Fuel &Petrochemical Manufacturers fully supports the Domestic Energy and Jobs Act.This important legislation will help enhance the United States’ energy and national security, keep domestic refiners competitive in the international marketplace and spur new job growth. AFPM applauds your commitment to common sense energy policy and urges Members of Congress to support this important legislation.                                    

“The United States has the capacity to become nearly 100 percent energy secure through domestic production and Canadian imports by 2025.This secure energy future will require smarter policies and a stable regulatory environment that strikes the proper balance between environmental protection and preserving a robust and competitive refining industry. The Domestic Energy and Jobs Act is a big step toward accomplishing these important national goals.”
