Topsøe makes top 10 on Danish image list

Once a year members of the Danish Society of Engineers (IDA) measure Danish engineering companies by their image. For the first time Haldor Topsøe makes top 10 on the rating list published in the society’s magazine, “The Engineer”. The outcome holds public respect and has great value to the companies selected for evaluation.

This year 111 engineering companies have been evaluated. Topsøe came in as number 9 which is an improvement from last year’s position as number 13. 

Unique company culture
"The fact that we have unique culture in Haldor Topsøe is of course well known within our company. It is good news that we are now being rewarded for the initiatives we have taken to brand this culture externally. And it is indeed very important in terms of attracting the best talent to the organization world wide,” says Jesper Lemmich, Vice President, HR Haldor Topsøe.

Soft value areas
The companies have been measured within two categories: Performance and publicity, where performance weighs the most in final calculation. The performance category mostly contains soft value areas such as the balance between family life and work life, career options, responsibility towards the environment, and company culture.

Ambitious business perspective
It’s in company culture that Topsøe stands the strongest. According to the members of IDA the company culture in Topsøe is rated as 7th best in Denmark. "It is no surprise to us that the company culture comes through as the strongest marker in the analysis performed by IDA. We also do believe that the ambitious business perspective we have put forward recently is responsible for the jump upwards into the top 10 on the image list,” says Jesper Lemmich.
