Linde Germany HiQ expert team trains specialty gases customers in Leuna

On 24 & 25 April HiQ Expert Teamfrom Linde Germany conducted the second LIPROTECT® customer training seminar, entitled “Qualified people - specialty gases in research institutes and laboratories” in Leuna.  The 2-day professional training was sold out with attendance from more than 20 participants from different companies throughout Germany.

The topics during the first day were the gas basics & safety, e.g. gas physics, production & handling of gas mixtures and specialty gas supply systems. By means of various demonstrations from Linde experts, the chemical and physical properties of gases were illustrated. The proper practices to avoid dangers, which can result from improper handling of flammable, oxidising or cryogenic gases, also attracted attention from the participants. Other highlights included a guided tour through the Linde specialty gas production plant in Leuna.

The second day was an interactive workshop where the proper handling of hardware was demonstrated and participants had the opportunity to test their skills at the "practice station". The training ended with a test to confirm that the essential safety messages from the training had been well understood by participants and the issuance of certificates.
