WorleyParsons extends commitment to Aveva plant portfolio

AVEVA today announced that WorleyParsons has renewed and further extended its commitment to AVEVA by signing multi-year agreements for solutions from both the AVEVA Plant and AVEVA Enterprise portfolios.

Having seen an increased demand for tighter schedules and ever more complex projects, WorleyParsons, a long-standing AVEVA user, has made a major new investment in AVEVA PDMS 3D design software and other engineering and design applications from the AVEVA Plant portfolio. In addition, WorleyParsons has purchased AVEVA NET as a part of their engineering information environment. AVEVA NET will enable the further development of an Integrated Project Execution strategy to minimise project costs and reduce delivery schedules for improved project operations and efficient handover.

'Our clients are understanding better how they can use the digital asset that we create during our projects,' said Jim Purvis, Director Engineering Systems of WorleyParsons. 'AVEVA’s engineering and design applications, such as PDMS, and powerful, integrated information management technologies, have helped us to increase performance and delivery of our global projects. AVEVA PDMS is a proven 3D design application that supports our plant engineering and design disciplines. We are also excited about implementing AVEVA NET. Our objective is to use it to enhance data quality and integrity through every stage of a project, allowing us to deliver even greater benefits to our customers through the full project lifecycle.'

'WorleyParsons’ successful relationship with AVEVA over several years has given them the confidence to commit to more use of AVEVA technology in this multi-year contract,' added Hans van der Drift, Executive Vice President – Sales, AVEVA. 'Their use of AVEVA NET is a significant next step in our relationship. AVEVA NET will allow WorleyParsons to create an Integrated Project Execution strategy whereby they can easily access project information. The AVEVA technology will help to improve overall project efficiency by shortening schedules, lowering costs and improving quality. They will enjoy the benefits of a complete integrated solution from FEED through handover.'
