Maire Technimont lands in the US with a double award

Maire Tecnimont S.p.A. announces that two of its subsidiaries, Tecnimont S.p.A. and Stamicarbon BV, have separately received two awards related to a greenfield fertilizer complex in Iowa, USA by Iowa Fertilizer Company (IFCo) a wholly owned subsidiary of Orascom Construction Industries (OCI).

Tecnimont S.p.A. has received a Letter of Intent for the provision of full Engineering Services and complete Supply of Materials, on a lump sum basis for the construction of a new greenfield Ammonia plant with a capacity of 2,200 metric tons per day (MTPD) based on KBR technology. The scope of work will also include Construction Supervision services as well as Engineering and Procurement services for the Utilities and Offsites units. Based on the Letter of Intent, Tecnimont has received an interim notice to proceed for engineering and procurement services. The full notice to proceed is expected within six months.

Furthermore, Stamicarbon BV has received an order for the provision of a Process Design Package for a new greenfield Urea Synthesis plant with a capacity of 2,200 MTPD. This plant is also part of the same fertilizer complex.

The overall project value for Maire Tecnimont Group is approximately USD250 million and the completion of the project is expected in the second quarter of 2015.
