Guangzhou petrochemical FCC flue gas emission control project approved

Feasibility study report of Guangzhou Petrochemical Company 2 million t/y FCC regenerator flue gas emission control project has recently been approved by the general headquarter. The project consists of a 200,000 Nm3/h flue gas denitration, dust abatement and desulphurisation unit and a 15 Nm3/h desulphurised wastewater treatment unit, as well as hot media water facility relocation and supporting utilities.

The project mainly consists of a 200,000 Nm3/h flue gas denitration, dust abatement and desulphurisation unit, a 15 Nm3/h desulphurised wastewater treatment unit, and hot media water facility relocation and supporting utilities. This total investment of 114.6 million RMB project is scheduled to be operational in 2014.

The new project can decrease the carbon dioxide level of the catalytic cracking unit flue gas to less than 200 mg/Nm3, NOx to less than 100 mg/Nm3 and particle to less than 50 mg/Nm3, meeting the latest Petroleum Refining Industry Pollutant Discharge Standard established by Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China (Reported by Huang Minqing and Hu Yongren).
