SweetSulf™ The high pressure redox desulfurization process
Reaction: Sour gas is contacted with an aqueous redox solution which extracts the H2S and converts it into solid elemental sulphur. Gas separation: Treated gas, free of H2S, is separated from the redox solution. Solid separation: Solid sulphur is filtered under pressure on a cartridge filter which can be regenerated on stream. Re-Oxidation: The redox solution is depressurized and re-oxidized by contact with air.
• Selective H2S removal with direct conversion into solid elemental sulphur
• Gas sweetening may be done at any pressure
• Ambient temperature operation
• No conversion limitation, H2S < 1ppm feasible
• High Pressure Filtration: no foaming, no risk of plugging
• Flexibility, easy operation
• Minimum solvent flowrates and pumping costs.
• CAPEX and total costs can be 20 – 50% lower than for conventional processes for feed H2S levels between 10 and 1000 ppm.
Electrostatic coalescers allow to remove small water droplets which would remain emulsified and not separated in conventional separators, thanks to droplet size increase through coalescence in an electric field. Crude desalting can be achieved by injecting and emulsifying dilution water in the electric ...

Proserpack compact integrated heat exchanger – separator, simplifies NGL recovery by implementing 3 process steps (2 heat exchangers and the turbo-expander suction drum) in a single equipment item. The heat exchanger is a PACKINOX multi-fluid plate exchanger.
Ifpexol uses refrigerated methanol for the complete treatment (dehydration, NGL recovery and sweetening) of natural gas. The Ifpexol process is based on two independent steps. Methanol is used as hydrate inhibitor in a cold process for NGL extraction : The mixture of methanol and water recovered at the ...
Process Principle: Bulk H2S or CO2 removal from highly sour gas by high pressure cryogenic distillation - Conventional distillation column with no hydrates or solid products formation - Separated acid gases are recovered liquid at high pressure and easily pumped back into reservoir - Final sweetening ...
Benefits of Installing a MEG Recovery Unit - Strong increase in demand for natural gas leads to more development of deep offshore gas deposits with deeper wells, longer subsea pipelines, higher pressures and lower temperatures. Under such conditions, hydrate formation - that blocks flow lines and can ...
Drizo™ regenerates the glycol by solvent stripping instead of the conventional gas stripping. Solvent stripping allows to obtain much higher glycol purities than gas stripping (up to 99.998 wt% instead of the typical 99.95 wt%) and consequently allows to get much larger water dew point depressions: ...
In the frame of cooperation between TOTAL, IFP Energies nouvelles and PROSERNAT, PROSERNAT is today the licensor of the amine technology portfolio historically developed by SNEA(P), then ELF, now owned by TOTAL. AdvAmine™ processes have been developed for more than 50 years for all types of natural ...
By combining amine absorption with catalytic COS hydrolysis, COSWEET™ allows gas sweetening, either total (removal of both H₂S + CO₂) or selective (removal of H₂S mainly), with complete COS removal. The three steps of COSWEET™ process consists in:
* Removing the bulk of the ...
