Magcat Catalysts produce up to 15% more syngas through the steam reforming process. We form our own catalyst carrier utilizing polymer ceramic technology rather than the traditional pressure method, which provides higher intrinsic strength. The catalysts look different too, they are spherical with a textured “Golf Ball” like surface. Magcat texturing creates a 30% improvement in external surface area which is proven to increase the heat transfer coefficient of the catalysts, and delivers 3x more available nickel for reaction. The spherical shape packs in a uniform manner allowing for optimal gas flow through the reformer tubes and minimises pressure drop.
