Dow Oil & Gas to celebrate market expertise milestone at SOGAT 2012
Celebrating more than 1,000 global references in gas treating, Dow Oil & Gas will mark this milestone by showcasing a full range of innovative, customized technologies and services for refining, gas processing and natural gas transmission at the 2012 Sour Oil & Gas Advanced Technology (SOGAT) <http://www.sogat.org/> exhibition. Dow Oil & Gas, a business unit of The Dow Chemical Company, the conference will take place March 25-29 at the Hilton Corniche in the heart of Abu Dhabi.
"SOGAT 2012 is an ideal forum to celebrate our global milestone for references in gas processing – a true reflection of our partnership with, and ongoing commitment to, the key players in this industry sector for more than 65 years,” said Antoine Samaha, commercial director, Dow Oil & Gas, Middle East and Africa. “The oil and gas industry continues to change and evolve, making these collaborative relationships more important than ever before. And with our extensive market expertise and application experience, we’re in a strong position to help maximize value for our customers with our outstanding specialty solvents and services tailored to each facility.”
The Dow Oil & Gas booth (#10) will feature gas treating and gas transmission specialty technologies familiar to the industry, including: UCARSOL™ and SELEXOL™ Solvents, DOWTHERM™ Heat Transfer Fluids, and NORKOOL™ Coolants, Cleaners, Degreasers and Desiccants.
In addition to sponsoring the show, Badar Al Saadi, Dow Oil & Gas technical service lead engineer, for the Middle East and Africa, will present a technical paper titled, “Increasing Gas Treating Capacity through Solvent Upgrade and Optimization Techniques,” on March 27.
DO&G offers customers in the Middle East much more than just local expertise and R&D and technical support capability. With more than 250 combined years of experience in removing contaminants from natural gas – including sulfur, CO2 and mercaptans – Dow is also renowned for its services in the oil and gas industry, such as the AMINE MANAGEMENTSM Program. This unique program helps optimize plant performance and maximize value for customers by offering customized amine system recommendations based on the unique needs of refineries and gas processing plants. After understanding a facility’s needs, Dow conducts a sample analysis and makes a tailored recommendation to help most efficiently meet specification. Dow provides ongoing support to help maintain this optimization at existing facilities and also works with new facilities on plant design and on-site start up.
