Announcing the first Asian nitrogen + syngas 2012 conference & exhibition
This year CRU will hold the inaugural Asian Nitrogen + Syngas conference in Kuala Lumpur on 9-11 October. This event will be the latest addition to their international events portfolio which includes the leading Nitrogen + Syngas conference, which has been running for over 25 years in Europe and attracts over 500 delegates annually. Due to increasing demand from previous attendees at the established annual conference, CRU has taken the decision to launch this regional nitrogen event for the Asian market.
CRU in their position as a leading business consultancy offering expert analysis of the fertilizer and chemical industries has a keen understanding of the growing demand for fertilizer products in Asia and has responded to the shift in the market by offering this new event for professionals working in the industry.
The three day conference programme will deliver in-depth commercial and technical presentations as well as beginning with a pre-conference workshop for operatoring staff on the 9 October, Maintaining, operating and revamping urea plants, moderated by UreaKnowHow.com.
The commercial programme, taking place on 10 October, will cover the major emerging Asian markets and current trends. These sessions will include insights on the Chinese export policy from Lynn Wang, Chief Editor of China Fertilizer Market Week and Adam Tomlinson, a Senior Analyst at Rabobank International will present the fertilizer trade dynamics in East Asia.
CRU Senior Consultant, Marina Simonova, who will be delivering the keynote address for the commercial day commented, “Global nitrogen industry is experiencing an interesting phase due to success of shale gas development and low gas prices in North America, which were the primary driver for the boom in nitrogen investments in that region. How many of the announced projects will be executed? What will be the potential impact of these developments on the global nitrogen market? On the other hand, traditionally low-cost regions are shaken by political instability and a revision of gas pricing policy, including increasing gas prices in Oman, halting of the ammonia and urea project in Egypt, temporary shutdown of the Libyan nitrogen complex, trade sanctions against Iran. What impact will these events have on the supply/demand balance and prices of ammonia and urea? This conference will offer delegates an opportunity to keep up to date with the latest industry developments and to understand the impact these changes may have on their business in the future.”
The technical programme on the final day of the event will run in parallel streams with presentations about the latest technological innovations and company case studies. Organisations involved in these sessions include Fauji Fertilizer Co. Ltd, KBR, Stamicarbon bv, PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur, Shriram Fertilisers & Chemicals (SFC) and Toyo Engineering Corporation.
The event will also constitute an excellent platform for suppliers to showcase their products at the exhibition which will host over 20 exhibitors of cutting-edge technology and equipment who will be on show throughout the event.
The Asian Nitrogen + Syngas 2012 Conference & Exhibition will be taking place from 9-11 October 2012 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
