Quest Integrity Group introduces furnace tube inspection system FTIS animation
Quest Integrity Group, a global leader in the development and delivery of advanced inspection and engineering assessment services and software products, introduces a new animation of its Furnace Tube Inspection System - FTIS™. FTIS is an ultrasonic inspection technology that performs rapid, automated fired heater coil inspection in refineries and chemical plants. The data captured by FTIS is especially powerful when combined with Quest Integrity Group's LifeQuest™ Heater remaining life assessment software, providing an integrated solution for the integrity and reliability management of fired heaters in the refining and chemical industries.
The animation illustrates the inspection process as FTIS inspects the coils in a refinery fired heater and features the tool's capabilities in a real-world setting. The viewer follows the FTIS tool through the convection and radiant sections of the refinery fired heater, and watches the tool encounter areas of internal and external corrosion, creep strain damage and a section of coil with a different thickness. Each of these anomalies is illustrated in the inspection report in 2D and 3D formats utilizing Quest Integrity Group's LifeQuest Heater software.
“For years, Quest Integrity Group has specialized in developing and employing integrated solutions that solve challenging and complex problems for our clients. This animation helps illustrate our capabilities and the speed at which we provide these solutions, thereby reducing risk and downtime, while improving our clients' decision making confidence,” said Rich Roberts, Vice President - Process Division, Quest Integrity Group.
