Local manufacturers to provide more equipment
The share of domestic manufacturers in providing petrochemical sector’s need to parts and equipment will go up. Manager of Planning and Development at National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Ramezan Owladi, made the remarks on the sidelines of Self-Sufficiency Exhibition in Mahshahr, south of Iran, adding Iranian manufacturers can play a bigger role in providing equipment needed by petrochemical sector through promoting the quality of their products.
He said: In recent years, Iranian companies have raised their share in meeting petrochemical needs so that nowadays they provide 70 percent of parts and equipment needed by the sector.
Owladi continued that holding especialized exhibitions with aim of introducing domestic manufacturers capabilities and displaying their latest achievements could pave the way for concluding contracts and other agreements between petrochemical companies and local manufacturers.
Referring to establishment of Self-Sufficiency Committees at many petrochemical plants, Owladi said: These committees have played an important role in boosting domestically manufacturing.
He expressed hope other epecialized exhibitions to be held in Assaluyeh, onshore installation of South Pars gas field, with the aim of getting together manufacturers and consumers.
The four-day Self-sufficiency and Domestically Manufacturing Exhibition opened on Monday at Petrochemical Especial Economic Zone in Mahshahr south of Iran.
