Daqing Petrochemical leading butadiene analysis in Chinese refining industry
Statistical data on September 1st shows that the accurate rate of analytical data for the critical components of butadiene products, such as water content, amine value and dimeric dimer, has reached 100% in Daqing Petrochemical Company, representing national industry level. After multiple comparisons to more than 70 sets of data, the barrier has been cracked down and product analysis has met national criterion.
Statistical data on September 1st shows that the accurate rate of analytical data for the critical components of butadiene products, such as water content, amine value and dimeric dimer, has reached 100% in Daqing Petrochemical Company, representing national industry level.
Butadiene is an important basic organic feed for petrochemical industry. The dimeric dimer component of butadiene can easily cause product aggregation, vessel rupture and explosion. Therefore, dimeric dimer level is a critical analytic indicator for product storage and transportation. Due to product volatility, product analysis in Daqing Petrochemical Company has long been suffering poor repeatability and low stability, and has failed nation criterion.
In order to meet product analysis specification, Daqing Quality Test Center has been trying to modify analysers and change injection method, for instance, using liquid sample injection valve and comparing and analysing samples every 4 hours, to establish proper analytical procedure since August 26. After multiple comparisons to more than 70 sets of data, the barrier has been cracked down and product analysis has met national criterion (Reported by Liao Heming and Hao Zhi).
