PTT Research & Technology Institute selects Intergraph SmartPlant solutions
Thailand’s PTT Research & Technology Institute (PTT RTI) has selected three Intergraph® SmartPlant® solutions to deliver a range of projects that will help to drive innovation in process engineering.
The solutions are being implemented by PTT RTI’s Process Technology Research Department, where researchers use them to create preliminary design layouts and basic design deliverables for projects that relate to future development in process engineering technology.
Intergraph worked with its local Global Network Partner, Neon Infotech, to set up and install the products, including preliminary 3D plant layout tool, SmartPlant Layout; piping and instrument diagram (P&ID) manager, SmartPlant P&ID; and instrument design solution, SmartPlant Instrumentation.
“We made the decision to implement SmartPlant solutions as Intergraph is known for providing innovative, best-in-class engineering software,” said Dr.Vivan Thammongkol, vice president of the Process Technology Research Department. “We expect the solutions will help to improve data quality and streamline the design process, therefore boosting the department’s overall productivity.”
Gerhard Sallinger, Intergraph Process, Power & Marine president, said, “Ongoing R&D is essential to the future success of the process engineering industry, so we are proud that PTT RTI has selected SmartPlant products to help drive this innovation.”
Intergraph’s SmartPlant Enterprise offers a powerful portfolio of industry-leading, best-in-class design and data management solutions, enabling companies in the process, power and marine industries to capture integrated engineering knowledge at the enterprise level for the competitive advantage needed in today’s and tomorrow’s market. SmartPlant Enterprise’s integrated suite of solutions enable proven productivity gains, improving engineering efficiency by up to 30 percent. This is why the majority of plants built worldwide are designed using Intergraph solutions.
