IndianOil refineries achieve record crude throughput of 55.2 MMT
The year gone by has brought many happy tidings for IndianOil Refineries. Having achieved the highest crude throughput of 55.2 MMT, and one of the highest ever Distillate levels of 79.6%, coupled with the lowest energy consumption and fuel & loss, IndianOil's Refineries Division has achieved a 'record performance' on all major parameters in the year 2015. The year also marked a record production of all major products – 2.4 MT of LPG, 6.87 MT of petrol and 24.9 MT of diesel, informed Director (Refineries), IndianOil, Mr. Sanjiv Singh.
While appreciating the combined efforts of Refineries Division team for displaying one of the best performances in recent years, Director (Refineries) said, "Despite high volatility in market, there will always be windows of opportunity for our refineries to capitalise on."
Talking about IndianOil's dream project of Paradip Refinery, Mr. Singh said, "The defining event of the year 2015 was witnessing the safe commissioning of majority of the process units of our most ambitious venture so far." He highlighted that its INDMAX unit, an indigenous technology developed in-house by IndianOil's R&D Centre, is IndianOil's true tribute to the 'Make in India' initiative.
Amongst the future opportunities and challenges, Mr. Singh said, " Production and supply of cleaner and greener auto fuels (BS-IV, and subsequently BS-V & BS-VI) across the country is the need of the hour."
Mr. Singh reiterated that the year 2016 has been declared as the Year of Core Values at IndianOil. "IndianOil's core values of Care, Innovation, Passion & Trust are integral to our work culture that are deeply imbibed and reflected in all our operations", added Mr. Singh.
