Neles introduces the renewed Nelprof selection tool for automated process valves
The complete Nelprof™ valve sizing and selection software for all intelligent automated process valves by Neles is now available as a free web-based tool.
With its advanced control-valve selection features, the Nelprof™ tool allows fast and reliable selection of Neles™, Jamesbury™ and Easyflow by Neles™ branded intelligent automated process valves. First introduced in 1981, this latest version takes Nelprof™ to the next level with easy online access via your web browser.
“Nelprof software utilizes intelligence based on several decades of real-life experiences to help size and select the best valve solution for any application. The new web-based tool has been designed based on the user feedback, enabling improved flexibility, efficiency and precision for day-to-day operations,” says Juha Relander, Product Manager, Control valves product line at Neles.
“The tool provides access to all the relevant parameters, which can be revised on a browser whenever necessary, and it helps to avoid many mistakes and to work more efficiently.”
Optimized control valve selection with state-of-the-art performance analysis and safety features
Nelprof™ allows control valve sizing with extensive control performance analysis and enables easy and reliable on/off valve selection and optimization of safety-critical system component selection. The performance analysis can be used to study valve controllability in a closed control loop. The control valve sizing module includes liquid, gas and multi-phase flow sizing as well as noise and cavitation prediction analysis based on the latest international standards. Optimized actuator sizing and selection is also an integral part of control valve sizing in Nelprof™.
“Improving safety and reliability have been the guiding principles of Nelprof development from the very beginning. Neles was the first on the market to optimize safety-critical system components in valve selection. The renewed Nelprof™ includes the SIL module that takes into account the use of a valve, an actuator and a valve controller, like the market-leading partial stroke test device Neles ValvGuard™,” Relander concludes.
