Heraeus platinum laboratory equipment at Pittcon

The Pittcon Conference & Expo will take place in Philadelphia from 17 to 21 March 2013. Heraeus will present its high-quality platinum labware. More than 150 years ago, Heraeus started the industrial processing of Platinum, Platinum group metals, Gold, Silver and their alloys. In 1856 the chemist and pharmacist Wilhelm Carl Heraeus successfully accomplished the melting of platinum on an industrial scale. Based on this knowledge and the constant growth of the customers' demands on components, Heraeus is capable of supplying a wide range of processing technology and standardized precious metal products for the laboratory use. Heraeus especially sets much value on high quality and depth of production.

Today, the pillars of the successful company in Hanau (Germany) are still pioneering inventions, ongoing research, the development of new materials and the generation of state-of-the-art technologies.

Laboratory equipment calls for materials with very special properties, no matter if analytical investigations or chemical analysis. The platinum labware produced by Heraeus is mechanically and chemically stable as well as able to withstand high temperatures. Especially, it is resistant to acids and corrosion thanks to internal material characteristics.
