HOERBIGER to break ground on new Florida Campus in Florida
HOERBIGER Corporation of America will hold a ceremony to commemorate the groundbreaking of its future home, the HOERBIGER Florida Campus, on Wednesday, April 23rd. Construction on HOERBIGER’s new Florida campus will officially begin following a groundbreaking celebration onsite with company leadership and local South Florida officials.
The company manufactures compressor components for gas compression equipment in the energy industry. HOERBIGER is the acknowledged leader in compressor valve and sealing technology in the United States, Canada, Latin America and around the world.
“HOERBIGER first opened in the Americas more than 60 years ago, and we’re pleased to build on that commitment to our North and Latin American customers with this groundbreaking ceremony for our new Florida Campus facility in Delray Beach. The Americas have long been among our most important markets, and our new, expanded location will continue to support our regional customers while also providing for the long-term growth of our business in this region,” said Wolfgang Sautter, CEO Compression Division at HOERBIGER.
"HOERBIGER’s expansion to Delray Beach is a strong testament to Palm Beach County’s ability to support advanced manufacturing and global innovation. As a Swiss-based industry leader, their continued investment here reinforces our region’s appeal to international companies seeking talent, infrastructure, and long-term growth opportunities," said Kelly Smallridge, President and CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB).
This new, state-of-the-art location includes nearly 200,000 square feet of space – approximately 155,000 square feet of manufacturing space, and 45,000 square feet for office staff. The new facility will feature the most innovative manufacturing equipment and technology available today. The new HOERBIGER campus is approximately 80,000 square feet larger than its current manufacturing and office facilities in Pompano Beach, HOERBIGER’s North America manufacturing center since the late 1970s. The new Florida Campus is slated to open in 2026.
HOERBIGER Corporation of America, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in the U.S. in 2023, is one of six lead manufacturing facilities for the Compression Technology Division of the HOERBIGER Group, headquartered in Zug, Switzerland. HOERBIGER Group is celebrating its 135th anniversary this year.
“With our new Florida Campus, we will be able to build on our decades of success in the region, while continuing to provide our customers the highest-quality reciprocating compressor components available in North and Latin America,” said Arek Dyrdol, Head of Regional Unit NAM – OEM. “The new facility will also ensure we’re able to address future industry trends and challenges, which include solutions for emissions reduction and digitalization, and for hydrogen mobility. Our new Delray Beach home, combinated with our local engineering and production expertise, and the latest technology, will enable us to continue to meet and exceed our customers’ expectations.
